Another Successful Build
Big things are happening at Midlands Technologies! Yet another successful build is nearing completion this week. This new single strip stacker will produce a tangle-free stack into a box or bin increasing the customer’s productivity and safety.
This stacker is very simple in construction and easy to maintain as it only has two VF AC shaft mounted gearmotors and is constructed using readily available commercial parts. No chains, open gears, or gear racks are used as the unit is designed using timing belts for long life. The controls are Allen Bradley.
Midlands 2-Axis Single Strip Stacker is available in several executions:
As shown in the photo, a single strip in one of three compartments (i.e. one batch per compartment).
Single strip in wider compartments with a slow movement in cross direction.
The operator will take the leading edge of a single strip and feed the stacker head. The operator will then step out of the stacking zone (contained within a 3-sided safety fence and a safety light curtain across the 4th side). Once in a safe position, the operator will initiate the stacking with a start push button. Stacking will commence with fast stacking in the wig-wag direction and slow travel in the cross direction to produce a neat stack in a box or container. All travel distances and speeds are adjustable thru an HMI and co-ordinated with your equipment.
The 2-Axis Single Strip Stacker system is a standard design and can be set up to meet your requirements (the unit is available in RH or LH layout – approval drawing will be provided)
